Yeah the first dragon is monk... The whole damn game is centered around monks.

In pre searing you can get all the monk skills near ascalon.

There is no running to the bottom end of the map to the "ascalon settlement" to find aidan.

The first dragon is monk for getting skills.

Most quest reward items are a focus item, for monks.

There is some other stuff too but thats just what annoys me the most. The game is so centered around monks.

Sounds like you need a tissure for your issue. Seriously, every single profession can be used somewhere for some purpose. Sure monks are like the hot girl in the bar on the island of geek males when it comes to UW or FOW or even missions/quests. But could a monk do fissure by themselves? I'm an ele/mo and do fine with my occasional monk skill. I also use a ranger/me and do quite well there too. So quit cryin, try a new profession and get over the monk issue.

you can get there another way by going south from Beacons Perch, to Camp Rankor then to Droknars, but it seemed you got owned un-lucky :P
